Over the course of her studies, Yi Ning actively took part in many performances. These projects included Haydn’s The Creation (2015), Bizet’s Carmen (2016), Poulenc’s Gloria (2016), and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (2017). She has performed works for solo piano, piano ensembles, and accompanied instrumentalists and vocalists for concerts, competitions, and examinations. Most recently, Yi Ning premiered several works by local composers in January 2020 at The Living Composers Series: Preamble, a one-of-a-kind concert that featured a wide variety of modern compositional styles. She also plays in her church on a regular basis, both in services and as a répétiteur for the choir and other special events.

Besides performing and experiencing music in different settings, Yi Ning has also been teaching piano and freelancing as a collaborative pianist for the last 7 years. In her free time, you can find Yi Ning frequenting quaint stationery shops and cafes as she enjoys reading and calligraphy.
